I don't want no one looking down or crying over me, or playing sad music.
My ship has sailed, and I know my spirit will live on through your memories of me.
I want you to remember the last time we saw each other.
The last time we held a conversation or heard each others voices.
I want you to remember the laughs we had.
The last time we shook hands or gave each other hugs.
I want you to remember the gatherings, and our life memories we shared.
Those are the good times gone by.
I don't want no one looking down or crying over me, or playing sad music,
It is what it is.
I only want for you to remember and cherish the LOVE we had for each other.

I deeply miss Mike, the love of my life.
I remember the first day we met, we happened to be a blind date. I remember the first love song Mike played for me, that hooked me; Luther Vandross's (Never to much). During our 40 years together, we had some amazing and wonderful moments, and we never let the bad moments come between us. We read each other like books. If only we could do it all over again.
Although Mike was not a man of many words, I knew his main concern during all that he was going through, was me. Now that Mike's ship has sailed; on the outside I wanted to keep strong, but on the inside, and for a long time, I was crying a river watching him go through his illnesses, never complaining, like a true warrior.
It was my pleasure and my duty to be there to lift up his spirits, to hold his hand, to rub his back and feet, to comfort him in anyway I could. Mike knew one of my latest go to songs was Ledisi's (Anything for you ).
We were a couple of people who happen to be lucky to find each other in love, and I will always remember the last days we shared and Mike's words. "Thank you so much baby, you are the best." "I've been fighting, but you've helped me fight like hell." I Love You! The unconditional love we had for each other will be hard to find in another. ~Camilla
